Response window rules

The rules below were agreed in the hiring plan approved on July 13, 2026. They apply to every submission, whichever recruiter sent it.

Window
Two business days. The clock starts the business day after Copperline sends the submission.
Age
Counted in business days after the day the submission was sent. A submission sent Friday, Sep 25 is due Tuesday, Sep 29.
Three answers
Advance, decline or question. A question stops the clock for Varden and puts the next move with Copperline.
Reviewer
One named Varden reviewer per role. For the platform engineer (Kubernetes) and security engineer roles it is the platform engineering manager, named by Anders Sundqvist.
Decision slot
One weekly slot, the Thursday hiring sync. Every submission past the window goes on its agenda.
Past the window
Marked on the first business day after the window closes, with the reviewer's name and what is needed.

"One reviewer for each role and one decision slot a week. If a submission has no answer, I want to see how old it is, not find out from the candidate."

Anders Sundqvist, Head of platform engineering, Varden Pay
